Leading the Industry by Example

The B.C. Regional Mining Alliance (BCRMA) is a strategic partnership between Indigenous groups, industry and provincial government representatives. This unique collaboration aims to promote British Columbia’s mining opportunities internationally, with a focus on projects in the northwest region of the province, known as the “Golden Triangle.” The BCRMA is a collaborative effort that welcomes the opportunity to share our success stories from grassroots exploration, through permitting and into operations, from the perspective of all partners across our sector.

Message from the Administrator

The modern-day success of British Columbia’s mining industry is supported by the relationships built between industry and local Indigenous people during mineral exploration and development. The BCRMA embodies how industry, Indigenous nations and government can work together to encourage responsible resource development and ensure positive outcomes for sustainable, lasting economic development that supports local communities.

Our collective presence at mining and investment conferences is a model for how meaningful and productive partnerships among strategic partners are leading to world-class mineral development in B.C. and the advancement of reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples. We come together to share knowledge, best practices, success stories and lessons learned, creating strong partnerships and increasing certainty of process for proponents and potential investors.

Recent investments and project advancements in the Golden Triangle are a sign that our efforts are working. Looking ahead, the BCRMA will continue to build upon our successes by deepening connections throughout the mining industry and exploring new opportunities to share the B.C. story with the world.
